Inspired by Earth Week: Lake Michigan Beach Clean-Up Day!
The Great Lakes hold 20% of the world’s supply of surface freshwater, and provide drinking water to 40 million people in the region. Working with our friends at The North Shore Vibe, we joined a few dozen volunteers last weekend to pick up plastic and litter from the Lake Michigan shore (our small group picked up over 1800 pieces of trash in just 90 minutes!). You can support the effort to keep the Lakes clean by visiting the Alliance for the Great Lakes.
